During the lockdown, I have been fortunate enough to be able to get some space to practice meditation each morning. In order to remain undisturbed, this has meant getting up ridiculously early but I quite like it now. I always thought meditation wasn't for me but I've been using my
@relaxmelodies app and working through their guided meditations each morning and now I feel like I understand how meditation can work for me, how it starts my day off so beautifully and focuses me and how it's helped me calm down a little. It's not for everyone, I know. I didn't think I would ever feel still enough to learn it and appreciate what it could do for me but with a little perseverance, I'm getting there.
Now, when things get a bit "teeth gritty" (you know what I mean), I'm able to take a minute or two to concentrate on my breathing and it all seems to get a little calmer.
