When you're running your own business it's sometimes hard to switch off.
But isn't one of the aims of being your own boss, the ability to dictate what hours you work? Are you doing work that works for you? Trying to juggle family life and work has always been difficult. Stress levels are prone to rise, leading to "headless chicken syndrome" which then serves nobody, least of all you. It's OK to schedule in some down-time to give your brain a rest. It often takes a little forward planning but it's worth it in the end.
I am grateful that by running my own business I have a certain amount of control over the hours I work. Not always. There are sometimes unavoidable moments in the evening or weekends when a client's account needs a little extra attention. And that's OK because I try to plan out my week in order to allow myself a block of time to down tools and focus on just what I want to do. This week, it has been making fairy houses with my daughter.
