Lockdown has changed me. For the better, I hope. Despite being at home I feel more connected to those around me, knowing that, along with our usual individual challenges, we are all facing an additional one together. And in my work, I'm comfortable realising that I might not do my job exactly the same as others, but it doesn't mean I'm less effective at it.⠀ ⠀ When I was younger, I spent much of my time wishing I was cooler, prettier, more popular - somebody different, in fact. And as an adult, it's still easy to fall into that trap of comparing yourself to others - especially those in the same profession. But it doesn't serve us. Despite differences, we all have much in common but because of those differences, we make life more interesting. ⠀ ⠀ Through TV and social media, I am more aware than ever of the challenges and journeys that others are facing and it has made me more grateful for my own position, more aware of my own strengths, and more tolerant of my own weaknesses. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ ....
