I've been a bit quiet for a few days due to a loss in the family. Not Covid-19 related, I'm glad to say, but a devastating loss none the less. It's been a period of mourning and reflection made extraordinarily different and difficult because of self-isolation and yet we as a family are fortunate in that we are going to be able to have a small funeral for my mum.⁠ ⁠ With grief comes a lot of reflection - those seven stages are definitely kicking in - and it has made me realise that treasuring insignificant and seemingly ordinary moments are so important. It's easy to look back on things we wish we'd done differently and berate ourselves but it's a time to be kind to ourselves as we move forward. ⁠ ⁠ The universe threw author @johnpavlovitz my way this morning.
