There are quite a few myths surrounding sleep. An article by
@womanandhome reported that a new University of South Florida study has found that getting 16 minutes less sleep than usual is enough to cause problems with focus, concentration and judgement the next day. Just 16 minutes!!!! After allowing my daughter to have a sleepover at the weekend which resulted in very little sleep for all of us, I can certainly vouch for that. I spent Sunday like a zombie just going through the motions (though I did make a lovely batch of brownies, if I say so myself) and today hasn't been much better despite sleeping well last night.
I'm getting into the habit of leaving my phone downstairs when I retire for the night and it's really helping me to let go and relax. I'm too tempted otherwise to pick it up just before lights out to check it.
