When was the last time you did? Don't be afraid to ask for a cuddle when you feel you need one. This sort of physical contact has been linked to decreased blood pressure and touch can help cushion the effects of stress. A recent U.S. study showed that those who hugged on a day when there was social conflict felt better than those who didn't. So try to follow any upsets or quarrels with a cuddle. And hold that hug for 30 seconds or more to give your oxcytocin time to kick in and make you feel even closer. Evidence suggests that people who cuddle more often have better physical and mental health. Some days when you feel angry or irritable, try asking for a hug and see if that can help those feelings melt a little.⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ #huglonandhard #hugging #hugs #bearhugs #cuddles #cuddling #holdthehug #mentalhealt #lovehormone #hormones #hormonal #menopausalhealth #menopausalmatters #womenshealth #empoweringwomen #midlifeawareness #midlifefreedom #menopausalsymptoms #womenhelpingwomen #supporti...
