Feel like my head's been elsewhere lately. Work, studying, perimenopause issues, older kids and their medical conditions or life situation issues and caring for parent issues. And in all of this I seem to have forgotten my littlest one and how special and precious these summer holiday times are. She's seven now so there's not many more summers where she'll want to hang out with me constantly. We are preparing for camping in (at the moment) rainy Cornwall and today we'll go out and buy some wet weather gear in the hope it will not have to be used. ⠀ ⠀ She is my ray of sunshine and over the last seven years I have learnt so much from her and I've learnt a lot about myself too. Being an older mum certainly left me with less energy but definitely more wisdom and understanding. I'm grateful for all three of my children. And grateful for the lessons they are teaching me along the way. Now I'm off to google "how to get your twenty year old out of his room and into a job" and hope I'll lea...
