Has your meno/perimeno-pause brought with it a change in facial hair? This is determined mostly by our hormones. More estrogen produces the finer, softer, lighter hair. More testosterone, gets you the heavier kind. In perimenopause and menopause, estrogen drops, but the small amount of testosterone that we women produce, may not. You see where I'm going with this, don't you? This can then convert into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and that gets you coarser, darker hair, usually on the upper lip, chin, and jaw line. Isn't menopause just the best? To quote Rachel Green from Friends, I mean isn't that just kick you in the crotch and spit on your neck fantastic? Anyway, of course, there's a few ways to deal with it: plucking, waxing, threading even shaving or the more expensive and timely ways of electrolysis and laser.
