Well there you have it. Permission to be imperfect. And anyway, what we see as perfection in others, often goes unrecognised by the person in question. Would we want to be perfect though? Is there such a thing even? As I hit fifty I mourned the fact that I would never have a youthful body or face again. I never kidded myself it was beautiful but I did like that I had youth on my side. And then it felt like it was slipping away. And I hated it and hated what I saw in the mirror. But with time and self care I am gradually growing to love myself again for all its quirks and imperfections (physical and mental). I'm taking care of the bits that aren't working like they used to, looking for the silver linings that are there and hopefully passing on the importance of self love to my seven year old daughter who, to me of course, is total perfection. (Give her a few years and she'll not see it either 🙄)⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ #selflove #selfcare #mindfulmother #mindfulmum #mindfulmidlife #midlifematter...
