This is one of the first poses I learnt in yoga and it's still a favourite - Downward Dog or Adho Mukha Shvanasana . It's the ultimate all over rejuvenating stretch and is great for balancing mind and body. In a great example of "use it or lose it" though, I stopped practising yoga for a couple of years when after the birth of my third child, at the ripe old age of 43, I put my back out and wasn't able to do much in the way of yoga for quite a while so my ability to get my legs straight and feet flat on the floor is still eluding me. I'm working at my own pace though so one day, hopefully soon, those hips and hamstrings will be willing to stretch.⠀ pic by AndiP on @pixabay.⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ ⠀ discoversomethingnew #midlifediscovery #midlifehealth #yogaforthesoul #balance #wellbeing #midlifemotivation #itsawonderfulmidlife #lovingmidlife #mindfulnessatworkhere #womenshealth #mindfulmidlife #yogaforthesoul #yogaformenopause #menopausalmatters #midlifeawareness #midlifefreedom #midlifemoments #mi...
