I don’t know what it was exactly that made me fall in love with Brooke Shields when I was around age 5 (most likely the eyebrows) but I think I thought of her as a cool older sister. Even though I was too young to be watching them, I could not get enough of her movies. As with most of the women I have come to admire, she was surrounded by controversy for many years and yet maintained consistency.
