5. #Footloose (1984) With arguably the greatest soundtrack of the 80s, this movie defined a decade. For me, it was total escape. Trapped in a single wide trailer that I had to share with three people, five dogs and a cat in the middle of nowhere Wyoming circa 1992, it was all I had at times. I would literally watch the VHS, rewind it, and watch it again...multiple times a day. It made me believe that any problem could be solved by dancing (I still believe this) and that religious people aren’t awful, just many times misdirected. As many of you who know me will confirm, whenever I go out dancing, it feels like prom in Bomont all over again!! #moviesthatmoldedme
