Wednesday Thoughts: I was reminded of my high school graduation speech this morning when I read a chapter of Glennon Doyle’s ‘Untamed’ that was titled ‘Sandcastles.’ • My speech spoke to phases of our lives were like sandcastles we spent time building and when those phases were over the tide would come and wash the castle away to make room to build the next castle. • Glennon wrote, “We must remember: I am the builder, not the castle. I am separate and whole, over here, eyes on the horizon, sun on my shoulders, welcoming the tide. Building, rebuilding. Playfully. Lightly. Never changing.
