On the outskirts of Chihuahua City, Mexico the Cerro Grande neighborhood sits at the base of the “Big Mountain”. The neighborhood is full of families from the displaced Tarahumara tribe. Many have little-to-no regular income. Fathers look for work in the brickyards. Mothers sell homemade goods—from clothing or crafts to bread or popsicles.⁠ ⁠ This is the neighborhood where our international missionary Jessica has built Vida Victoriosa. It is a ministry where the Cerro Grande children can come to get a Bible lesson, tutoring, and a nutritious meal.⁠ ⁠ Over the summer, many of our North Texas-based staff members were able to take teams to Chihuahua. People like you from right here in DFW came alongside Jessica to serve at Vida Victoriosa.⁠ ⁠ One of our staff members, Penny from Dallas, Texas, moved to Chihuahua for the summer.
