This is Falesi. She lives in a village in Malawi, where she works as a teacher for our Nsanganiza Care Center program (NCC). “I love my job!” she says.
In 2014, Falesi’s husband died of AIDS. She feared for her four children and the baby growing inside her. “Some nights, I didn’t sleep for hunger and worry. I wanted my children to live long lives, to be healthy and go to school. But with only my vegetable garden to feed them, I didn’t believe that was possible.”
Then our international partner, Maryam, invited Falesi to the village Bible study. There, Falesi not only discovered that they needed a teacher for their program, but a hope like never before. Today, her three youngest children go to NCC for free. They learn and eat good meals five days a week.
