🚨Mastodon Spotlight🚨Defense - 4 Mike Mertzlufft - “Mertz” as he’s known to the team is from Oakville, MO where he attended and played for Christian Brothers College High School (CBC). Mertz joins the Mastodons with over 17 years of playing experience. After high school, Mertz attended Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. Playing for the Lions he earned 2nd Team All Conference honors in 2008 as an LSM. Mertz has been playing box for 6 years having started with the St. Louis Spearhead. Joining the St. Louis Centurions in 2016, Mertz was a key factor in their championship wins in ‘17, ‘18, and ‘19. Mertz has been coaching lacrosse for 9 years. His previous experience includes time with CBC and the Shamrox Lacrosse Club. Currently he is a member of the St. John Vianney High School Coaching Staff.
