On Wednesday evening, our faculty attended a SparkLab event (our own innovation department's new name). It was designed to help them develop innovative ideas about different ways to teach our students and help them become life-long learners. We had very special guests who gave short workshops and mentored the teams through the process: Former Head of school and former CEO at Pinnacol Assurance, Mr. Phil Kalin and Herzl alumni, and Co-founder at Articulated Intelligence, Ms. Alyce Blum. The teachers brainstormed and ideated, and then pitched their idea to everyone for constructive feedback. Now they are ready to submit it and apply for the school's innovation grant. It was an exciting event led by our Director of Innovation, Chagit Gibor, who introduced the term 'teacherpreneurs'. We look forward to many more opportunities to invest in our faculty's professional development and to keep moving forward while engaging our students. #denverjds #innovation #sparklab
