"This year is sadly my last color war. As I was reflecting on leaving this school I was wondering about what had made my experience here so extraordinary, after all, it has been extraordinary. Was it the kickball with Mr. Rozansky, Baseball with Mr. Miller, or all the Regis played during lunch? Not really. I realized it wasn’t this building, It wasn’t the academics, and it wasn’t even Mr. Butler's gym classes. What makes this school extraordinary is the רוח and the קהילה, the spirit and the community. What makes this school so special is the unnecessary acts of kindness and compassion that do not just occur when people are looking, but every day, for no apparent reason." We hope you check out our most recent blog post, a beautifully written and powerful Student D'var Torah by DJDS 8th grader, Micah Gruenwald. Link to the D’var is in our bio!
