As part of their American Jewish History mini-unit, our fourth graders were tasked with learning about and explaining certain American cultural values matched with American presidential speeches, and certain Jewish values matched with Jewish texts. They collaborated as a class to create a collage of blended values and texts representing the hybridization of these two aspects of their individual and collective identities.
