He was taught in film school that dialogue is a last resort - tell your story through images. This ad does that so well, and brings so much energy at the same time. In 3 minutes it manages to paint a vivid picture of the player's journey from grassroots to the Euros, with plenty of knocks, hard work, and unique experiences along the way - all without a single line of dialogue. The first person perspective is was pretty high tech for 2008 (and a pleasure to watch at that). It also serves as a great advertising tool as it allows the audience to feel like it's them taking on the world, and if they had those boots they could do the same. Nike's tournament adverts are always star studded and big budget - but this is Dan's favourite of the lot...And...eodmofficial's 'Don't Speak' is one hell of...
