Painting is to contemporary art what Haute Couture is to fashion. For his #ValentinoDesAteliers show, pppiccioli worked with painters to translate their works onto garments, creating a conversation between art and fashion. Following the show, the artists were photographed alongside their respective garments, and the Maison Premier who created them. ruiphotographer’s works “Handkerchief” and “A Piece of China” were interpreted onto a chiffon gown and cape, photographed alongside Irene, the Maison’s Premier tasked with creating the look. Francis_Offman was photographed alongside Valentina, a Premier at Valentino, and the look inspired by two of his Untitled works. The look features a white cotton intarsia jacket with applications and micro-topstitches. Andrea_Alis_Respino’s “I beati verdi” inspired a look featuring an intarsia coat with over 80 fabrics, and was pictured with Alessandra, the Premier charged with crafting the look.
