Pierre Dorion and the Sens had a fairly busy trade deadline. Here’s a recap. Anton Forsberg was signed this morning to a 3-year extension with a $2.75 million AAV, which totals $8.25 million. As a career journeyman, this is amazing for Forsberg, who is 17-16-3 in his time with Ottawa. This means that Murray will likely be moved, as them and Gus are all on one-way deals next season. Super happy for Forsy, this is very well deserved. The first trade of the day was acquiring Senyshyn and a fifth for Josh Brown and a conditional seventh, which turns into a sixth if Senyshyn plays 5 games with Ottawa this season. Senyshyn, 24, was one of the Bruins’ infamous three straight first rounders in 2015, and only had 14 career NHL games. He’s from Ottawa, and has 31 points in 51 AHL games this season, and is expected to join Belleville and help their playoff push.
