Earlier this morning, the Sens added to their front office staff with the hiring of Pierre McGuire. I think this is a good hire for Ottawa, it adds to their small front office and McGuire has a lot of hockey knowledge. He will report to Pierre Dorion. One thing to watch out for is that Dorion has one year remaining on his contract. Elliotte Friedman on the Wally and Methot show mentioned that the Sens and Dorion are working on an extension. However, if the Sens struggle this season and Dorion’s job is in jeopardy, this opens the door for McGuire to become a GM. - - - - #ottawa #senators #sens #ottawasenators #gosensgo #signing #nhl #hockey #news #pierremcguire #mcguire #hiring #frontoffice
