Here is a new series I am starting where I look back at the seasons the Ottawa Senators have had since their first modern-era season in 1992. 1992 was the first year of the new version of the Senators, and it was not a bright start. In their first-ever game, they defeated the Montreal Canadiens. However, the rest of the season was not so bright, finishing with ten wins in total and missing the playoffs. This resulted in Ottawa getting the first overall pick in the draft. They drafted Alexandre Diagle, who ended up as one of the biggest first overall busts in NHL history.
