Today is International Women's Day, and there have been a lot of women who have had a huge impact in the automotive industry, such as Mimi Vandermolen.
Mimi was one of the first females to work full-time on the design team at Ford in the 70s, and her first project was working on the 1974 Mustang II. From there, she moved on to lead the team for the 1986 Taurus interior, where she created ergonomic controls, dials for climate functions, buttons with raised bumps, and a curved dash which made it easier to reach the controls.
