Maria Montessori believed in peace education. As educators, it is our job to help children to develop into peaceful beings. We do this in the classroom by having community meetings where we resolve classroom issues and a "peace table" for children to go to. At the peace table children are assisted in learning how to resolve problems with peers peacefully.
