Today I was prepared to present the First Great Lesson -The Coming of the Universe. Great Lessons are a big deal in the Montessori classroom, but I postponed my plans for today. Why? My students were working so intently and concentrating I didn’t want to interrupt them. We were able to do some of the lessons I planned to present, but more importantly they were able to choose work that was of interest to them. As luck may have it, this book that I was disappointed about not having for a follow up to the Great Lessons arrived today!
