#FBF 2009 EDCLA My boys Loren Cronk and King Drippa smashing it up on the visuals while I played as the sun went down. A memory so fresh in my brain it feels like yesterday. In 2009 artists did not travel with their own visuals and this was a first for EDC. At the time it was a radical idea and had not been done before. But in 2008 as I toured the world and played my songs I was subject to the visual content of the club or festival. I would get frustrated that my song would be emitting one emotion while displayed on the monitors was something completely different. So I worked with these 2 guys to try and make custom content that matched the song I had made. It was a new and interesting process for me but ultimately I knew it was the future as it would enhance my show and help create the vibe I was trying so hard to achieve at each and every show.
