Last Friday, 40 cybersecurity majors, both graduate and undergraduate students, participated in the first ever UT Capture the Flag event. A Capture the Flag event is learning turned into a game. It involves a series of security-related challenges in order to obtain flags, which are pieces of data specific to a successful exploitation of a security vulnerability. It is an opportunity to enhance skills, learn new techniques and most importantly gain hands on experience.
