Introducing the newest Vanguard initiative 🥁 Creative Indifference Fighters: an ongoing series highlighting various extraordinary 💫 individuals who have used their unique creative talents as a force to tackle tough social issues, past and present 💪 We’ll be kicking things off with Pauli Murray as the first creative profile. We will be reading their poetry from Dark Testament and discussing the power of giving a problem a name. Pauli Murray coined the phrase “Jane Crow” — the double burden women of color face in terms of racism and sexism in America. At The Variable, indifference is the enemy.
