Take a guided hike to the base camp for an overnight trek to see active lava! 2. Volcano Fuego - An active volcano located just south of Acatenango. 3. Lake Petén Itzá - the 3rd largest lake in Guatemala, located on the North side of Petén Region and my favorite swimming spot in the country! 4. Town of Flores - A colourful little island town located on Lake Petén Itzá. 5. Horchata - Although this delicious drink does not originate from the country, the Guatemalans sure do make a wicked Horchata drink. 6. Lake Atitlan - This lake actually sits in a huge volcano crater and is one of the most visited / beautiful areas in all of Guatemala! 7.
