🙋🏻‍♀️ Raise your hand if you’ve been her at some point (I know we all have!) Personally, here’s why I’ve been like this in the past: 1. I felt like I needed to constantly “prove” myself by biting off more than I can chew. 2. I was new to the company or to the team, so I wanted to show how helpful I am to everyone. 3. As a minority woman, I’ve been trained to make life easier/more comfortable for others and that bled in my work life. I’m better at managing my energy and time but sometimes I catch myself raising my hand for “extra credit” projects!
