My parents were married in the 80s. My mom bought her wedding dress at Stitches (anyone remember Stitches??) and she always kept her dress in great condition. I Googled 80s wedding dresses and honestly compared to the ones I saw, this one is pretty damn chic for its time! I love the off-the-shoulder, the sleeves and the skirt, and my mom got my aunt to add a belt and some straps to help keep it up. She kept her shoes too, but there was no way my size 8 wide feet would fit her delicate size 5 slip ons. 😂 I’ve always wanted to try it on before I got married, so during a recent visit I finally had the chance. My sister tried it on prior to her wedding too, but nothing beats Mom in her dress on her wedding day (isn’t she lovely? 💕).
