It was an inspirational event Monday, as we gathered in solidarity to commemorate the Day of Remembrance at Hammer Theatre, as well as visit the Japanese-American Internment Memorial. #sjsu recognizes this day to acknowledge the Japanese American experience and the campus’ connection to it. It’s important to know our history in order to advocate for a more socially just society moving forward. We also want to recognize and honor our connection to our Japantown community, who has contributed and supported our work on campus to acknowledge SJSU’s history. #DayofRemembrance 🇯🇵 🇺🇸
