Van update! After Kristy and I got back from our New England road trip with the pups, the Beigehemoth became a lumber hauler for our house projects. We’re back at it, though! All walls and the roof are officially insulated (with Thinsulate SM600L) and our electrical system is done. It’s as off-grid capable as it is shore power ready for campgrounds. We have a Jackery 1000w power station and one, soon-to-be two, 12v Renogy 100w panels. Having used both, I would definitely go Jackery over Goal Zero if anyone is in the market for power. Kristy is finishing up the front headliner with a floral and bird fabric, done with 3M adhesive exactly how I did my flannel Jeep headliner that’s going strong 5 years in. A lot of online guidance said a van conversion takes 100 labor hours or more. Looking back at this point, we’re well beyond that with everyone who’s contributed to this project.
