My most recent piece of work that I have created using Alternative Processes. This artwork, titled Separate but Connected, shows a collage of my family members cut into puzzle pieces. My family moved away from Texas this past Summer, and I am the only one of my immediate family still living here. The images show how everyone is growing up and moving in, from when my parents started dating, to when they had kids, to when my sister and I grew up, to when we started dating our boyfriends. I used DASS transfer to encapsulate the art and to make it look as if these memories are fading.
