We nearly got hypothermia diving with them but it was well worth it! They’re related to the pipefish family along with the seahorse and typically grow as big as 8-10 inches. Unfortunately, Leafy Seadragons are now endangered. From man-made threats like being caught by collectors or being used for medicine to natural threats like being washed ashore by storms, predators, habitat loss, and rising ocean temperatures we are at risk of losing them forever... What a shame that would be...
