The gray, or Hanuman, langur belongs to the primate family known as Old World monkeys. It gets its name from the monkey god Lord Hanuman and is considered sacred by the Hindus. A common sight in the dry, deciduous forests of India, it’s not surprising wildlife photographer Yashas Narayan stumbled upon one in the Ranthambore National Park.
