There were once 100,000 tigers across the Asian continent. This #EndangeredSpeciesDay join Discovery’s #ProjectCAT to help double the number of tigers in the wild by 2022. Thanks to increased protections, tiger numbers have grown overall for the first time in a century. Since 2010, there has been an estimated increase of 690 tigers in the wild. Tigers have also doubled in two areas of Project C.A.T. supported sites in India and Bhutan.
