"Soaring yote. I intently watched and photographed him for at least an hour and a half. I can’t begin to describe the sense of peace I encountered as I lay in the snow, watching this incredible animal running, pouncing, and doing other cool coyote things. Due to the unusual lack of people in the park, the only sounds I heard were the ravens cawing throughout the valley, the water moving along the Merced River, and the crunching of snow from the coyote's paws. It was the most fulfilling experience I’ve had in Yosemite in a long time. The silence throughout the day gave me a lot of time to reflect on how much this place has benefited my life and my wellbeing.
