Weighing in at an impressive 500 pounds, Calypso, a green sea turtle, is one of the stars of the nationalaquarium’s Blacktip Reef exhibit! She was rescued in 2000 by the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation after stranding on a beach in Long Island. An infection led to the loss of her left flipper and she found a permanent home at the Aquarium in Baltimore.
