"Hubble may be a pro at imaging distant galaxies and nebulae, but it's also very good at studying objects a little closer to home, and this includes gas giant Jupiter, which is seen here with a blob in its famous storm, the 'Great Red Spot.' But this isn't a strange atmospheric phenomenon; massive Jovian moon Ganymede is eclipsing the sun, casting an impressive shadow over the huge cyclone."
