#AroundTheWorldIn8Days (Photo by cassidyduhon) The beautiful Gullfoss Waterfall is almost invisible as you approach, making it seem that the river simply dissapears into the earth until you get close to it's rushing water and the crevice appears. Throughout the 20th century foreign investors tried to use the waterfall to generate electricty, but thanks to the conservation efforts of Sigríður Tómasdóttir and the financial failure of the power plant the Iceland government bought the falls and it is now protected. #Waterfall #Iceland #Gulfoss #Adventure #Beautiful
