It’s #NCFFriday! #NCFFriday is a way for socialworks_chi to highlight our truly remarkable New Chance Fund schools. Today we're highlighting OGLESBY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! ⁣ •⁣ Oglesby utilized the New Chance Fund grant to upgrade their auditorium, purchase new drums for the school’s drum line as well as offer dance classes to both girls K-8 and boys in grades 6-8 (who all received 10 weeks of dance instruction). Additionally, through their partnership with the Chicago Children’s Choir, 40-50 students have been able to receive chorus classes once a week!⁣ •⁣ Lastly, as a wrap-around service, the New Chance Fund grant helped fund mentoring and SEL support that otherwise would not have continued this year, through the Garden-eer's program.
