Now, we introduce the a member of the Service Committee, Amelia Williams!
Amelia graduated with a degree in Public Health this past December and is originally from West Lafayette.
Outside of Mortar Board, she is a passionate advocate for the prevention of sexual violence and child maltreatment. Amelia has worked as a research assistant in Purdue's Violence Prevention Research Coalition, a careatpurdue Educational Ambassador, a CARE Liaison for metoopurdue, and a member of purduestudentgovernment's Disability and Inclusion Ad Hoc committees. With her twin sister, Amelia co-founded the Indiana Rare Coalition, which encourages legislation to benefit rare disease patients.
Amelia hopes to pursue a research career studying child maltreatment and prevention at a graduate level.
