Meet the performers for our THSO Presents chamber concert this Saturday on October 16! Shelby Mass is a baroque violinist and scholar currently based in Bloomington, Indiana. She is a recent graduate from the Jacobs School of Music’s Historical Performance Institute with a master's degree in baroque violin, and also holds a bachelor's degree in violin performance from Miami University of Ohio. At Miami University she also minored in Italian and completed multiple independent studies in conducting and performance practice. In 2016 Shelby was the recipient of Catacoustic Consort Cincinnati’s Early Music Grant and has performed locally in the Cincinnati Early Music Festival, the Bloomington Early Music Festival, and the Bloomington Bach Cantata Project.
