Our final #43GreenFriday is a very special one. We are so excited to announce that move-ins have officially begun at #43G1, and Habitat has closed on #43G2 and will break ground later this month! So why is it so significant that 43 Green is Bronzeville's first equitable transit-oriented development (eTOD)? Between 2016-2019, nearly 90% of transit-oriented projects were constructed on the city’s North Side, Northwest Side, in Downtown, and around the West Loop. In addition to reinforcing existing racial inequities, these projects contributed to displacement as wealthier neighborhoods became even less affordable.
