It’s Friday, gang! And that also means #43GreenFriday – this week we introduce you to Jeff! Now Habitat’s VP of Community Development for the Habitat Affordable Group, Jeff’s career path really began during his undergrad at the University of Colorado Boulder. Going to school as a political science major, Jeff worked as a carpenter during the summers. He decided that building houses was just as interesting as his college major, and after he graduated he decided to pursue this interest in carpentry! He moved to San Francisco and built + remodeled houses for 5 years. 🏗️🏢 Jeff moved to Chicago following this experience and began his graduate education, even interning for Valerie Jarrett, then Planning Commissioner, and future Habitat President and advisor to President Obama! After graduation, Jeff worked for Mayor Daley before joining the Habitat Team, where he once again had the opportunity to work for Valerie Jarrett.
