Time for some education on this monday morning! When I first looked at these photos, I noticed the Daddy Longleg had only one pair of eyes which sparked my interest. Since we were all told they were the most venomous spiders too weak to actually bite us, I thought I’d do some fact checking on what I thought I knew about them. 1. These arachnids aren’t actually spiders, they are more closely related to scorpions. 2. The don’t have fangs, nor do they produce venom! 3. They were around before dinosaurs. 4. Their legs help to sense their surroundings. 5. They don’t produce silk or spin webs. Next time you see a video through reels of someone picking up a handful of daddy longlegs, you’ll understand why there is no fear!
