While having no words recorded in the Scriptures, we know that St. Joseph was a humble, bold, and obedient man. He followed the promptings of the Lord even when he didn't understand or "see" how the plan of God was working out. He also wanted nothing of the limelight, only wanting the spotlight to shine upon his wife and child.
